The Day of Citizen of Tokyo

October 1st is the day of citizen of Tokyo. All public schools in Tokyo are day off today. And some private schools in Tokyo might be day off, too. I usually went to Toshimaen amusement park with my friends. We could enjoy riding many rides as much as we wanted. So, I liked the day of citizen of Tokyo when I was a student.

And October 1st is also the day of seasonal change of clothing. Students have to change their school uniforms from summer clothing to winter clothing whatever temperature is still high or not. But some students forgot to change their uniforms without fail, especially when the temperature was still high. They were embarrassed all day and everywhere, in the schools and on the trains. Because their summer uniforms showed up to everybody that they forgot changing uniforms.

After I graduated from the high school, I can wear any clothes what I want without caring the day of seasonal change of clothing, Oct 1st. And I can’t take a day off work. Oct 1st became a general day to me.
